All accessible from a user interface so simple that you can master it in minutes. That’s the power of SubstationSERVER.NET.

One Substation, Multiple Protocols, Zero Hassle.
SubstationSERVER.NET builds on a decade of SUBNET experience in protocol training and translation. Now, with a few mouse clicks, you can translate between almost any modern & legacy industry protocols on the fly. Device templates allow you to import whole device configurations in a fraction of the time it would take to enter them by hand. Drag and drop master-to-slave mapping makes configuring whole substation networks a breeze. Constantly expanding protocol support means that as your substation connections become more complex and widespread, SubstationSERVER.NET will be there to accommodate even the most obscure protocol translation needs.

SEL Relay Connections Made Simple
Need to talk to an SEL relay? SubstationSERVER.NET offers the world’s first comprehensive auto-configuring Master for SEL-3xx series and higher relays. Unsolicited writes, Fast Message, Fast Meter, and Fast Operate have never been so easy to manage. Additionally, SubstationSERVER.NET now contains a Port Server module that lets you easily map physical serial ports to IP addresses on your substation network.

Event File Collection whenever and wherever you need it.
Having event files on hand when you need them can allow you to troubleshoot problems faster, prevent major problems by quickly addressing minor ones, and help you to avoid sending out repair crews unnecessarily. SubstationSERVER.NET can easily log into relays, communications processors, and other IEDs, download event files, name them appropriately, and place them in a directory of your choosing. After that, your event files are sitting on a fully networked substation PC, allowing you to send them anywhere you wish using standard file transmission protocols. Event File Collection setup using SubstationSERVER.NET can be accomplished in minutes, saving you hours down the road.

Built-in Math, Logic, and Enterprise Interfaces
Using IEC 61131-3 logic with your substation IEDs usually requires slow and restrictive OPC bridges in between every device and logic controller. However, SubstationSERVER.NET has a fast built-in CoDeSys Gateway Client that lets you do things that aren’t even possible with OPC, like publishing events to slave devices. Once you have both sides configured, data exchange is seamless, no matter how many devices or protocols you’re using. And, if you still need to send data to historians or retrieve data from other software, SubstationSERVER.NET has native OPC Server and Client modules available.

SubstationSERVER.NET is the industry-leading software powering the new SEL-3301 Protocol Gateway & the SEL-1101 devices:

Product Description
SubstationSERVER.NET is an advanced substation communication server, providing data concentration, protocol translation, and enterprise connectivity. Designed to provide access to the 90% of substation data typically not available from SCADA/EMS systems, SubstationSERVER.NET utilizes a high-performance in-memory database, coupled with modular software functionality, to meet your specific requirements.

Applications
SubstationSERVER.NET was specifically designed to provide utilities with access to all data (operational and non-operational) generated by a modern, IED-based substation. Traditional SCADA/EMS systems provide less than 10% of the information available to a utility. In contrast, SubstationSERVER.NET acts as an advanced data concentrator and communication server to distribute all available information without burdening existing SCADA/EMS systems. The resulting information flow to Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, and Protection departments allows the creation of a more efficient and reliable Transmission or Distribution system.
